• Start with a sketch so that you can easily get handy with software
• Choosing your brushes is very important and blend it properly
• Adjust on the lights 
•  Find the details like face cut, lines, shapes, dots and so on
• Polish and distribute details 
• Create path of each and every part. at the time of colouring press cntrl/cmd + click on path icon, that part will select and you can easily colour only that part
• Always give names to path that you create so that you can easily find while changes
• Choose right colour 
• Give it a finishing look and you done
